What is a Sip and See?
A Southern tradition, A sip and see is a casual gathering or open house to give family and friends the opportunity to meet your new baby boy or girl. It’s the perfect way to introduce your little one without having to plan multiple visits to everyone you know. It can be held instead of a baby shower or in addition to a baby shower.
When should you host your sip and see?
This is up to you. If you are feeling up to it, you can plan your sip and see a couple weeks or a month or two after your delivery. It’s usually easier to host the party at your home or have it at your parents or close family members house if that is more convenient for you.
What about gifts?
It’s not necessary to bring gifts but it’s hard to resist not bringing a cute baby outfit, accessory or diapers. Gift cards for a local restaurant is another great idea for parents that could use the convenience of take out after a long day.

If you like to DIY, printables can save you a lot of money on your event budget. Printable files are available for all of your event needs—invitations, signage, games, programs, menus, tags, labels and more!
What Happens After I purchase a Printable?
Purchase printable files from our Etsy shop. After purchasing, you will receive an email with a link to download the PDF to your computer. The link in your email never expires.
How do I edit the PDF template?
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to open and edit the template. Don’t worry, it’s FREE! Download to your desktop computer or laptop. Please note that the PDF will need to be edited on a computer and not a mobile device.
