DIY Valentine's Day Bag Topper

February 6, 2016

Valentine's Day is right around the corner! That means you have to get some quick treats together for your kid's classroom! We have the perfect solution for you and it's only $5! You can use any snack for these bags, but I chose to use one of the Annie's snacks, just because they are in the shape of rabbits, they are organic and my kids love them (what kid doesn't!). Plus Annie's offers gummy snacks, cracker type snacks and cookie's too (all in the adorable rabbit shape). No, we don't have a connection with Annie's... just love their delicious products.

These DIY Valentine's Day Bag Toppers are a quick and easy way to get your classroom treats together - and they look super cute, so everyone will love them!

You can instantly download the file from our etsy shop by clicking here!

Now let's get started!

Step one: You will want to open the pdf in Acrobat Reader (make sure you have the latest version).

Step two: In the blue highlighted area - type in your child's name and save. (please note: I used a different font for my own toppers)

Step three: Print! (Standard white matte paper is perfect).

Step four: You will want to fold at the black lines first.

Step five: Start to cut out, while keeping the paper folded - this saves a little time and I'm all about saving time! If you look at your edges and see some white - just trim that off - while keeping the paper folded.

Step six: Take a snack size ziplock bag (they are the smaller bags that are about 1/2 the size of the sandwich bags) and fill it with a snack. For these I thought that Annie's treats work best - they are all in the shape of rabbits, so it's perfect!

Step seven: Fold the paper over the sealed and filled ziplock bag - and above the closure - staple the left and right sides so that the bag topper is now attached to the top of the bag.

Step eight: Enjoy all that extra free time you have! These barely take any time. You can knock this project out in under 30 minutes!
